[Maybe a normal person would be insulted by that comment, but then again, a normal person wouldn't bring up murdering their partner on their anniversary. Hux just draws to his full height, his eyes narrowing at Kylo before looking straight at the food in his hands.

[Look he has some Doubts but he's not going to throw away a perfectly good meal. Stepping into the kitchen, he takes out a plate and a few utensils towards that end, but Armitage shouldn't expect a large portion. He can make dinner for the redhead afterwards.]

[Kylo frowns faintly as the uncomfortable topic arises, but not because he doesn't have responses to it. Rather, he knows it's... sensitive, and how easily the conversation could go poorly. On today of all days, it's the last thing he wants to happen.

[Ren resolutely avoids the topic of Rey entirely. She is not relevant in the context of their relationship, and he's sticking to that. What he has—had with Rey is different and separate. Instead, he turns to what he sees to be the actual topic. His tone remains patient, at least; he's not rising to any bait.]

[That goes without saying, so he doesn't bother to reply. He's always seen their relationship as a side note to Hux—significant enough to notice due to their proximity, occasionally enjoyable enough to engage in, but not exactly a priority. He's never expected much more than that.]
