No, but I did share a cave with two pretty younger women and a wolf.

i'm tempted to make a joke about dances with wolves. i did hear things turned out more favorably with them than anticipated.

It is, actually! In the end, the whole thing was the result of some magical rabies, was how Zee called it. But really it's basically some dark energy possessing one powerful magic wolf which can split into a bunch of other wolves.

no wonder i couldn't figure out what happened from what i was told. so you cured it and the problem was solved?

More or less. But the ending of everything was pretty suspect if you ask me.

It's a little complicated tp explain without just explaining everything, but...

There's a few questions left unanswered and one of the bigger ones is who the guy looking over the arena we fought the final fight in. The last leg of it was gathering up stones across these nine doors in order to unlock the arena and then fighting monsters in front of an audience of ghosts. This got us some material that the wolf then wears, and an unsettling journal.

i'd find anyone who overlooks some kind of monster fighting gladiatorial battles suspicious.

I guess at one point, Retrospec had some internal disagreement about if they should help *every* wayward soul or not.

that makes some sense.

[Ren has already expressed his doubts in their judgment regarding who to save, after all.]

if they're really just people with limited resources, i can't imagine they'd have the ability to help every soul they managed to come across.

i'm sure the other side said it was their moral duty or something similar to try to help everyone, even if it meant they were struggling and failing.

No, it's worse.

They used to use souls that they deemed wouldn't get them viable resources later on, be useful, as fuel.

that is worse. i see why you were unsettled.

i don't guess this journal discussed how that argument ended?

I've been pouring over it, the vibe I get is that the more altruistic side won but ... Well, I'm wondering if the other groups found more about it.

it sounds like it would be worth asking about. i'm not usually interested in the history of whose family was in charge of what part of retrospec, but something like this is much more vital to know so we understand what they're capable of.

No, it definitely is.

Everyone in the group got a pdf of the journal this one girl made, I've got the original on my desk too. I know the Arisato girl was making a compilation of everything we ran into as well.

i've seen the name around. did she say she intended to do that about everything from this past month?

i'd like to see that pdf, if you don't mind sharing.

No, just us back in Magatus. I hoped there might be some more follow through with everyone else, get it on the guide. I might do that myself.

thanks. and for putting together that guide, too. i wouldn't have had the patience to talk to enough people to get it together.
