Ren woke with a shudder and a shaky noise of pain, but it was only obvious he was actually awake when his gloved hand reached up to grab the general's arm that had moved to get his attention. His grip was firm, but not as strong as it had been earlier. He was trembling slightly, his breaths still shallow.
