It was true, however, that he didn't intend to do anyone any further harm. It would serve no purpose here, and the only ones he'd ever been interested in harming were those that he intended to eliminate entirely. Since they couldn't die... well, no point wasting effort on them.
Even so, he did intend to defend himself if he could, especially after that terrifying experience. He wasn't going to die and face that thing again, he couldn't. ... And he didn't want any of those around him being forced to meet it, either. At this point, he wasn't even sure if he'd allow his enemies to die on this planet if he was capable of preventing it.
